The link to the FAQ's about buying a Versa, and its comparison to the Fit and the Yaris (provided by jfanaselle) is great - but it should include that the Versa performed better in safety ratings than both the Fit and the Yaris. This helped me make my final decision to purchase a Versa.

Edit: I see corpsecorps already mentioned this in the thread.

Still, I'd prefer that an argument be kept out of this topic. I only ask cause I really am trying to gather information on what people like about their versa and what they would've had added options wise.

Back on topic- we have the SL with the convenience package. We like the sunroof as tilting it open when it's parked on a hot day keeps the car cooler than just cracking open the windows. That hot air just goes straight up and out. The 6-cd changer is great for us but we've already cancelled the Sirius satellite radio.

The steering wheel audio controls and cruise control are really worth it, too. I like fog lamps on cars but my wife didn't want to spend the money for the sport package so we didn't get it. We really can live without them because we don't get much in the way of serious fog around here, but that package would be a nice luxury to have.

If we were buying a Versa all over again, the one thing we absolutely would add is ABS. We regret not getting it.

A nice car for the money. No real complaints except for the stupid dash rattle.

Maybe it's a function of my age (although I'm youthful in spirit). What does the strut bar add for stability/ performance? I don't find the vehicle to be "tippy", which is what I assume that the strut bar controls. (Maybe I'm not driving it fast enough around corners!! And, is the Cold Air Intake sort of like the hemi in Chryslers - boost air intake, thus performance?

The strut bar is helpful for accelerating around corners.

The Cold-Air allows the engine to breath better. It changes how the engine sounds and adds a small amount of power at full throttle. With emphasis on small, haha.

it should include that the Versa performed better in safety ratings than both the Fit and the Yaris.

With IIHS, the Versa received "Good" all around, which is the highest rating a car can get. With NHTSA, the Versa got 4 stars frontal whereas the Fit received 5 stars. A little puzzling because I thought that the IIHS tests were more vigorous of the two. But anyway, those were the results, and yes, the Versa has good crash ratings.
