Ok, so I picked up some cheap subs back when Circuit City was closing. Got the Kicker C10's for 26 a piece. Also found a cheap amp on ebay for 64. Couldn't find a box that would fit, since there is only 11 3/4" clearance from the bottom of the speakers to the trunk floor. Instead of removing the foam, I decided to build just a basic box to hold them.

Here are the pics so far. Let me know what you think.

have you started on this yet? Thats what I want to do as well. i'm thinking of doing a fiberglass box.

See how the screws broke the particle board. Use a pilot hole with a counter sink will fix those problems in the future. I have a lot of people ask for MDF at work. Not sure if there is a difference between that and the particle board.

MDF is a lot easier to work with as well. Sands easier and a little easier to cut.

what thickness is the wood, looks 1/2", I would of gone atleast 5/8 - 3/4"

always use 3/4" mdf, always make pilot holes and counter-sinks. use liquid nails to glue it together, silicone to seal it on the inside, and like 4 times as many screws .
