What year is the new engine from? Did you check the timing chain and high pressure fuel bucket? Should do that now just in case.

Still not clear how a US-spec car was serviced in JP, but probably doesn't matter at this point - that engine is gone anyway.

Low to mid-13s is respectable for a big car.

Gone means it's dead. Not functional.

Glad you're back on the road after your bizarre acquisition.

On the upper right you should see a tab labeled "user Control Panel"
in parentheses it lists how many messages u have like for example it might say (1)

Click the tab
then find the tab "private messages"

Click that and look for and click on "inbox"
(inbox should show as default few anyway )

I agree, show more please.

WOW! You gave your M a 77,000 mile transfusion with replacing the dead 97K engine with a "teenage" 20K one. :rotfl

That should give you plenty of years/miles of diving pleasure, congratulation!

This story certainly took some interesting turns along the way, but I'm glad you finally have a running car and are enjoying it.
Please keep an eye on your oil levels, to ensure the enjoyment lasts a long time.

Do you know if Fever Racing has any more of those $4,000 low mileage M56 engines for sale?
And did they point out anything unique about the Nismo engine when they pulled it out?

The guy Doug that owns that shop is a wizard,I have no vested interest in it and never met him before. But if you want
An 800hp capable
Vq35de for a z280 or other z that guy has some ridiculous builds.
I got insanely lucky he was like yeah I got this laying around the shop it came complete.
Fuel railes, high pressure pump, vvt equipment, even the starter and alternator.
4000$ he was like yeah did a twin turbo swap with a vq on an m56 1200hp so its just been sitting on the rack
