Breathing prob?

hey guys, since rebuilding my ca18 its been breathing quite a lot and leaving a bit of water in my catch can. im still running it in, just wondering why would it be doing that? before i rebuilt the motor it hardly breathed at all. thanks

I have this mental image of an engine panting like a dog. Water in the catch tank? That is weird. Are you sure it didn't get there before you put the motor back in? I can't see how water would get in the catch tank.

do you mean the overflow bottle connected to the radiator?

cause u def shouldn't be getting water in ur oil catch can.

nar breather bottle connected to motor, not radiator. jst a bit of oily water in the bottom of it?

Sounds like you got a leak. maybe the HG didnt seal properly?

Haha. Sorry I couldn't help myself. Check around the number 1 cylinder and the water to see if you've got some particulate in there. I'm with gabby, the hg may not have seated properly.

the lil bit of oily water in the catch can has only really started since it has devoloped a lil miss on idle and the ecu is throwing the number 13 code which is coolant sensor? any help would b awsome cheers guys.
