Ok...now that I have your attention, it is ABOUT to be released...they are waiting on us to make up our minds on what we want it to look like!

I ran this by LBC already, and gave him the background info.

Anyway, this was brought up about 8 months ago, and revisted about 2 weeks ago and I am tired of seeing it die...so here is the deal. Bodykits.org has custom made kits for your car, meaning you get your kit without the thought "I really wish it had this" or "If only that stupid XXXX wasn't there"

Here is what we need to kick this off...we are going to shoot for 10 people to enter into this kit group buy. The price is dependent on the style we choose, but their website quotes $675 for a FULL KIT and in emails he said 500-600 could be a close ballpark figure. We can't get exact prices until we have our style picked out because some designs can only be made with certain materials.

So this is to get a list of names, we will talk design once we get 7-8 people and then work on those final two. If we get great interest then the price comes down with each extra order we get!

Also, there is a free kit in for the first taker...the catch? You need to give them your car for 4-5 weeks while they proto-type the kit. Also, you will lose the stock bumper because in their creation process it gets pretty junked up. Not a bad trade though for a free aftermarket! haha The car must be in SoCal, or at least willing to drop it off there.

Anyway, lets gauge our interest...we will give this until next Wednesday and then start to talk ideas/looks. During the next week I will start to put together email lists and information for going forward, and then all that are involved will start to pickout the look we want for our car!

As an example, here is a maxima they worked on. I had the thought of them designing a factory fog hole in the bumper that would fit a set of OEM Projector Fogs.

I might be willing to sacrifice my car for a prototype as well. But I would like to see some renderings if that would be possible.

As far as purchase, I am interested in their side skirts and rear bumper, I'm pretty happy with my Stillen Fascia at the moment and can't see myself switching it out

Price seems to be PRETTY negotiable with them...it is a resession...step 1 is getting orders and keeping your workers with a paycheck.

I agree with the listed price is for fiberglass, in a NORMAL time. I think the quotes on the site are for Fiberglass, but when we have 10 people ready to sign up and send them their paycheck for the next 4 weeks...we have a little more say in the situation They have the Maxima front bumper above for like $350...I think if we wanted front bumper only (no skirt) that would be about the ballpark...

I applaud your enthusiasm also curtieson, unfortunately, most folks here just don't spend that kind of money... I would love to see this happen though... best of luck finding 10 people to go through with this!

Thats not a huge amount of money, 10 people shouldn't be a prob.

We already got 9 peeps on the 1k$ coil overs. For this to go somewhere, peeps need to see the final design or the tentative design and then it could definitly happen, but as of now thats whats missing I think.

but what hasn't been done now is WIDEBODY. that and rear spoilers . AIT was making a trunk with integrated spoiler that looked very VERY nice but we are still waiting for that. plus the stock grille has to go.

so WIDEBODY + NO MORE OEM GRILLE + SPOILER or TRUNK WITH SPOILER + keep OEM FOGS = MASSIVE WIN

I agree 100000% percent, minus the spoiler. Not a fan personally, but WIDEBODY + no stock grille = tell me where to sign up.

That's pretty hot but might need some adjusting slightly with the vents on the sides.

it is a fiberglass kit which is not practical for daily drivers. i'm mad enough about the fact out bumpers chip really easily. I would hate for a rock to crack a brand new painted fiberglass kit. The stillen urethane kit is the best option so far but i feel like it is missing something on a black car and so many people have it. I want AIT to finally release a kit, they were considering a gt-r kit earlier this year.

THE RED ONE WITH SIDE VIEW IS SICKKKKKKKKKKKK . YOU NEED TO MAKE THE SPOILER LIKE THAT!! Ive been waiting for a nice Nismo - low to the trunk style spoiler for so long! Also the red one has an amazing side view.. i'd be so down for that!

The silver one with that front bumper and nissan logo in the front is also insane!

I think the perfect kit would consist of pieces that look like that.

Also, someone update me about fiberglass.. I guess it cracks easily and they propagate in an ugly manner?

I like mehdis concept #3 for the front but I think a final design would need to be made because all the people that said that they were interested want different kits.... So i think that the initiave needs to be taken and a full kit needs to be chosen not just the front.... Does anyone have any inputs on the sides or back ?

And as far as the foglights go ... There probally wouldn't be a kit that would perfectly accept the factory ones so an aftermarket one would be better

http://www.truckcustomizers.co....html

http://www.geocities.com/jvxdr...n.htm

and this would be realitivly cheap to do...

Sorry if there are spelling errors Im at work and have to use my phone

Nice, this is turning out good guys. I just wanted to get a really good spot for everyone to start chatter and gain interest. They didn't build Rome in a day, we will take 2 weeks and build a GREAT looking body kit! I am sure once we get this done too, and start throwing it on cars...if we get pictures out there we will get comments of "DAMN! Where did you get that!?" We then get the start of a mass produced bumper DESIGNED BY NICO! HELL YEA! Then again, maybe the company will just refuse to do that, in that case...the 10 of us that get in have a Limited Edition bodykit, there is your higher resale value Mehdi, haha

Like I said though guys, keep up the chatter, and submit feedback on the ideas that are out there. Also, what I have been doing is looking at kits on similar cars to find lines that I like. AKA find some Maxima/G35/350Z kits...this is really good for the front, and works for the sides too.

In terms of a Bumper/Trunk...I think the trunk would not be main stream enough to get 10 takers on that...and it is just my vote...but I would vote to keep the stock bumper w/ side skirts to save cash.

In terms of Fiberglass/Urethane...Fiberglass would be cheaper...Urethane would stand up better. Once we get the design I will submit to them and get a cost quote for both. Once I do that we will take the final talley. From what I read I would vote Urethane...spending 10-15% more at the start is much better then constantly patching or *gasp* buying a new one. But, we will see how votes come out.

B-more, Doc; Thanks!

I'm down as long as its not fiberglass, I've had bad luck with road rash as it is. From my foglight getting busted to dents in my hood.

Mcheddadi,

Do you think you could make a change to one of the pics?

Can you take the outer side/fog light holes of the Greyish one and use that as the base, but in the center round it out more like you did on the front of the blue one? I think something like that will basically set up our Front...

Basically...take the two flairs on each side of this grey pic and flow it into the center. I have a feeling that we would not want a HARD edge like that one, as it would be not posible to mold.

the thing is, it's not as flat as you think in real life, for the sake of simplicity i've removed the edges in photoshop but check out some real life pics:

but yeah like you said:Quote »Basically...take the two flairs on each side of this grey pic and flow it into the center. I have a feeling that we would not want a HARD edge like that one, as it would be not posible to mold.[/quote]that could definitely be better and flow more with the overall aesthetic of the car, I'll see if I can photoshop something later

That is a slick look! I like that! Basically, what I was thinking would look best on our car is the bottom line of that Z's bumper, but with the Fogs and Center air of the Coupe Proto-type.

GO MS PAINT!!!

Yes, you may laugh now.

As much as I truly dig the idea of a new front end, I'm much too attached to my splitter. The design would have to knock my socks off for me to switch (or, at the very least, be compatible with the Stillen splitter!).

At this point in the game, I'm much more interested in a rear bumper and side skirts. If that qualifies as a "YES" vote, then count me in!
