hey. i have yet another problem.. i have a 91 hb se.. the brake pedel is very jelly like and i have a big *** leak.. i have to replace brake fluid everyday about 3-4 fluid ounces.. when i press the brakes i hear a faint hissing sound from the power booster.. This is the only thing that makes sense. because the leak ends up on the ground even with the firewall.. if it is the power booster.. how hard is it to install? and detailed info on it.. thanks in advance

Well I just took mine out the other day, so I could paint the engine bay, it wasn't that hard. Took maybe 15 minutes to get it out. The hardest part is working upside down cramped under the dash to take off the 4 nuts that hold it on, and then you have to pull the little pin that holds it on to the brake pedal assembly. Not to difficult though, just a little frustrating.

If the master cylinder fails the pedal usually just sinks to the floor all the way, most of the time it doesnt leak fluid, just no pressure. u just replace master cylinder. You have to identify exactly where the leak is coming from.Seems like a seal went bad somewhere.
