Brake Pedal Height Adjustment

In 2014, the G37 Sedan became Infiniti Q50. G37 Coupe and Convertible became Infiniti Q60 under Infiniti's new naming structure - Here's the place to discuss the Q50 and Q60!

My search didn't turn up any results, so forgive me if this has been covered.

I want to lower the height of my brake pedal, as it sits too high for comfort when alternating between the gas and brake. Has anyone done this, or know of a how-to somewhere? This is for a 2016 Q50. Thanks in advance.

See BR-25 here:

The booster pushrod (blue) is threaded into the brake pedal yoke (green) and prevented from rotating by a locknut (red). Take the locknut loose and you can rotate the pushrod. Threading it further into the yoke lowers the pedal, threading it out raises the pedal. Re-tighten the locknut when the pedal is at the desired height, then adjust the brake and cruise switches. That's a no-tools operation, twist the switches counterclockwise to loosen, and with no pressure on the pedal, push in till the switch plunger is fully depressed. Twist clockwise to lock, you're done.

So the next question is, how do I get to that locknut?

I just crawled under there to try and get at it with a wrench, but it's too cramped and I don't see anything I can remove to make space. The service manual mentions removing the lower instrument panel, reference in IP-13, but that looks pretty involved.

You may need to, it can be very cramped in there.
