once the vehicle has driven about 10 miles/when slowing down <30mph a squeal like noise is heard regardless of throttle activity, clutch activity. sound is intermittent post application of brakes/ does not occur when rolling backwards only when moving forward in neutral or in gear regardless of steering wheel direction/ brake hoses are new/fluid is clean/ braking is great/rotors and pad ok/just replaced front left brake caliper and pins as it had been sticking

Please suggest what I should do next. Replace pads to insure they are OEM? Wheel bearing seem ok but?? repack inner and outer front bearings??

thanks- s

Take off the wheels, spin rotors by hand perhaps.

i.e. to see if the rotor is sticking? well, I replaced the sticking rotor yet the sound continues....so I guess you are suggesting I try this again...hopefully I can get it to make the sound and then put it up on the rack to check as per your suggestion....do I got this right?

Thanks for the reply S

Cheap pads will cause this, cracked pads will cause this as well. I would say get new pads and put High temp. greas on anythig that will touch metal Except on the pads surface.

your shoes will cause this as well if they are cracked, along with you drum springs. the spring do 2 things in the rear keeps tention on the shoes so they stay in place and dampen vibration. Also if there is no greas on the backing plate where the shoes rest, that could cause it as well
