You need to go with a 275 30 19 on the rear! That is what i am going to do when the Potenzas are done! and then 245 35 19 for the front... The fronts are 133 each

Generals 160 bux each and a rating of 380... They will last over 40k miles

These are JUST for racing at the drag strip and driving too and from.

Mounted on my 17x9 Mustang rims with just 24 psi they should be about 23.5" tall.

They are used 5/32nd left out of the original 8/32nd. I will probably burn them down to 3 or 4 32nds. Got them for $103 delivered

Maybe I'll see 13's on these shorties!!

I asked the mods to move the 1-2 tire chirp post to general forum and the haters came out of the woodwork. Kind of what I expected.

I am so tired. I'm feeding this new baby all night long everynight. If it wasn't for NICO and p0rn I'd be bored!

There is no way on earth a 275 wide tire is going to fit on the 19" coupe wheels on the sedan, end of story.

I find myself waiting for parts everyday... Right now, off the top of my head I'm waiting for my BLOX spacer, cross drilled Brake discs / pads, new clear cornering lights (my other set is leaking, post racoon damage) Oh, let's see, a new workshop manual, Electric fan components from infiniti, and I'm sure a few others as well...

It's always worth the wait though... Post up some results post install... Jeff, are you currently running 45 or 40's? I have 35mm on the 20's what an improvement in handling...

BTW, I enquired with my local infiniti shop on getting sponsored, I'm still waiting to hear back... What do they do for you? cover your entrance fees / costs etc.??? just curious.

Right now I'm running 235/45/17's on the street and 275/40/17's at the circle track. The Kumho V710's didn't make a noticeable improvement at the drag strip ?

I'm thinking they are too much tire for straight line performance a little wheel spin on start isn't a back thing it helps to get the suspension where I need it quickly.

Infiniti just rents the track, pays my entrance fee and instruction. Oh and they give me a discount on work done in the shop after events. So race on dirty oil!

I would love to have an IOS banner across the top of my windsheild LOL

Dammit,

Now I have to go school you all again...

1st of all. 275/35/19 is the recommended alternative size for the rears. NOT 275/30/19.

2nd. The 2nd number in a tire size is NOT the sidewall expressed in mm. It's the sidewall expressed as a ratio of the tread width. I still want to know why the hell they did it this way, but w/e.

So BrandAid's sidewalls are probably around 75mm-80mm tall.

Bring on the Flames!!!

YOU CAN'T USE a 275 tire on the coupe 19" rims and use it on the SEDAN. The tire will be too wide. With a 245/40/19 you are very close to having to roll the fender. Yes that is the optional tire size for the coupe.

Even if it could fit, a 275/30 is almost a 5% difference in diameter which is highly not recommended. Anything of 3% is the general rule. Trust me, I wouldn't steer you in the wrong direction. I am a wheel whore and know these things.

yeah, good point So, my wheels are 8.5w x 20"... Tires are 245 35 20 front and rear, like Red noted, my wheels are in there pretty tight, I've thought about adding an 8mm spacer to the rear... it might squeeze in... lol

BrandAid, Depending on your wheel offset, you maybe able to run something a little bigger. 275 is bit over kill IMHO on a 8.5" wheel. A 255 or 265 would be an option. What is your wheel offsets?
