Bought a 2008 Nissan Sentra yesterday

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Just wanted to know if anyone was having trouble with their car yet? What kind of problems are you running into so far?

Thus far, the passenger side engine mount on the 2 liter engine with CVT is pretty much it.

well haven't even had it 24 hours yet so I don't know yet LOL

I drove it home. took my daughter to pay the power bill and that's about a 40 minute ride and that's about it LOL

At the moment I've got about 82 miles on it. I drove 30 miles home from where I bought the car.

Some of us have had a noise when turning the steering very quickly at parking lot speeds with the 07s.

I too have an 08 with about 2500 miles on it.

So far so good.

You may hear a "clunk" when you first take off. Thats the normal sound of the ABS self test.

Enjoy it!

Yeah my buddy up at the Nissan dealership actually showed me the carnage from the motor mount. It's just crazy and the car he showed me only had like 100 miles on it.

nissan tech 06, so you replaced a 6 speed mount by yourself about three months ago? How hard of a job was that?

Simple, it's right next to the overflow bottle for the coolant. I used a floorjack to keep the engine/trans supported under the bellhousing. It took me about 15 minutes BUT it only pays .4 of an hour LOL.

Didn't notice that it applied to the 6spd as well when I looked at the B16 trouble areas sticky you made.

I thought it was odd that it only applied to the CVT version, now I know it doesn't.

It's not that there's many issues, it's that you will always have a problem with cars the first year they come out (or two, seeing as how the Altimas burn oil for '02 and '03 for the 2.5).

We had 2 dead Versas in the same day. Both had BCM issues.

Hey, Mike, don't be a douchebag, nobody on here likes you.

No, I did not. One tech took care of one, one took care of the other one. I was just using this as a story. Go back to work and bugging all the rest of the people you work with.

You guys all remember nissanrocks? The guy who tore me apart? Same guy, just changed all his info.

Joe,

I changed my info because you deleted "nissanrocks" info. By the way this name "caseyjones69" is not just me it is most of the techs you work with.

What happened to that post?

Wow, you sure are a douche. Who do you think you are? We have someone assisting the Nissan community on here and you do nothing but come on here and troll. Hell, even some of the information you post is wrong so why don't you go back to Minute-Lube and perform oil changes because that seems more suited to your expertise and personality level.

I see you listed 15 as your age are you sure you did not accidently put you IQ in that field?

Go troll some Honda site because you are simply making yourself and the dealership you work for look like a total azz.

We work together. This all stemmed from an incident that got blown out of proportion and some people are taking offense to the fact that I know stuff they think I shouldn't.

I'll be contacting the GM of the dealership with the info on the "nissanrocks" screen name, as well as all of his trolling posts. I'm sure they'll be interested to see it.

Mess with my Moderators at your own peril.
