My Factory Bose 6 CD changer just stopped working. It sucked anyway. Infiniti will give me a new one but im looking for other aftermarket options. Can anyone recomend anything?

I've heard a rumor if I replace my Head Unit i will have to replace all my speakers, is this true?

I think you can add an aftermarket head unit to the car with the correct wiring harness kit. If you speaker are ok, you will be fine.

bose dont suck..but anyway I got an after market unit, no need to change speakers. the back speakers have built in preamps in them..the fronts go quicker than the backs..

What kind of system did you get?? Did you have to get a custom made dash kit? I cannot find one for my car (2002 I35). Also, my rear sub blew, do they have After market subs that fit like the OEM ones???

it's been my experience that bose head units kinda suck, mine crapped out, it doesn't play cd's the display fades in and out, it will randomly switch from radio to cd. im going to replace it shortly, i have heard you need a PAC-ROEM NIS2 to use a new headunit with the facory speakers. here is an ebay link to the product http://cgi.ebay.com/PAC-ROEM-N...86644

why not just replace everything like im doing? i have a pansonic h/u (CQC7103U) with 6.5" pioneer speakers (TS-A1671R). currently they are just sitting in my closet waiting for me to get time/money to have them installed. unless anyone can tell me how to do it myself??
