Well dealer loaner anyway...while my 05 coupe is getting worked on. Nice car, but I have a few questions for other 07 sedan owners.

-Is the throttle really stiff on your cars? Man, this thing is like a rock! It's hard to take it easy when you have to stomp down to move the car!

-Display console...what do you guys think of it? The car didn't come with NAV; seems like a waste of money to me...

-Played with the push button start. I guess you CAN shut the car off while moving

-Interior seems a notch up from the previous year. I like the aluminum trim that wraps around the console/doors. Little upgrades here and there are a welcome change.

Its definitely a really nice car; my wife even likes it more than my coupe...she says it feels more open, and the seats are more comfortable. I don't think its as sporty as the coupe, so it would be her car if I got one. The back seat is much better than the coupe, but that's expected comparing the 4-door to the 2-door.

Yes, it is hard not go crazy. Even at 120-130 you step on it and it just goes. To be honest I do like the display console better than the previous editions. I never tried to shut the engine off while moving but I don't think it is possible. But I've been wrong before. I tried the 2006 coupe before I actually bought the 2007 g35x. I liked it a lot it handles awesome. But in Canada with 4-5 months of snow(not this year) well better with the AWD. That was the key factor in my decision. I did not regret it. Wicked car with planty of power.

How many months in a year you using your G? Just curiosity. How you tried in our lovely winter? I was just wondering how it is in that weather. I have a friend with Trans am firebird. Well I tried his car in the winter just to see how bad it is. Holly....... It was brutal. I had to take a corner where i did not wanted. But again that was 98 and different car. The traction control on it pretty much useless. But it is a wicked ride in the summer with t top.

LOL.. I drive her all year round my friend! I admit some winter days it can be a lil white knuckle driving. You MUST repect this cars power and always keep in mind it's rear wheel. I keep the VDC on always in the winter and it has worked very well for me. i don't play around if you know what I mean

I learned very very fast the first snowfall I had the car to get winter tires on ASAP!.

Oh and +1 for you ...nice to have another crazy Canuck on board! ....eh!

It's possible...the auto trans didn't like it too much

I'd never try it on "my" car...this was more or less a dealer rental car. My wife was like, "I wonder if a kid could shut the engine off" So I tried. Was doing like 45mph, and had to shift into neutral and push the button to start...I didn't think it would work

Sean, No way will I trade my coupe! I might trade the mitsu lancer though

I can imagine your first winter experience.Winter boots a must. Must be shocking but you know what you are a lot better driver now because of the RWD. I bet the VDC helps a lot too. I turned off couple of times in the lost couple of months to see the differences. It is huge after the AWD. I am not sure if it goes to RWD on mine when you turn the VDC off. But can tell ya. It is like 2 different cars you try. I know we usually get more snow then you get there. It is funny because 40 minutes drive. I go to Mississauga once a month or so. But it is Canada .....eh.

You can turn a car off at any time with a key as well. I see no reason a push-button start should not be able to do the same thing. I believe it is impossible to get the steering wheel to lock if the car is in gear (automatic). Not sure about manual's but I'm sure there is a speed sensor as well.

Still, with all the gadgets in the car...I was expecting to hear a nasty bell saying-umm, don't turn me off!

I tried it on a strait-away for that very reason. While I'll beat the rental a bit more than my car, I don't want to crash! (never, never buy a rental or program car!!!)

joe,

I can only agree with you. I would never buy rental or program car. That is why I spend a little more money and buy new one and take good care of it. One of my friend used to say that. " I am too poor to buy a used car".

Well got my car back yesterday! They did a great job. I had a few small dings/dents in the fenders that they fixed (for a charge of course), replaced the cabin filter, fixed the seat, fixed rattles/squeaks, and checked rear diff/manual trans fluids. Even washed and vacuumed the car.

I've heard some horror stories about dealing with dealers for warranty work, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I bought the car from another dealer in the city, but its a long crappy drive...so I went to a closer one. Didn't have to argue to get the loaner...I'm very happy with the results.

Infinity of South Atlanta is all good in my book

Joe

We are all happy for you. It feels good to be treated well. I had the same experience with my local infiniti.
