i wasn't really looking into getting a body kit but then a friend told me that he knows aguy who makes kits.

so we go down to the shop and i talk to the guy and he gives me a very good price, a very very good price, i ask him what he uses and he says 'blue fiberglass'

i don't really know anything about fiberglass, just wanted to see if anybody knows what the hell this stuff is, because i've never heard of it before

Its the stuff that you see those cheap A$$, rip-off body kits are made out of. i see cars all the time with unpainted kits, and instead of white, its blue. dont bother with it, get the hi quality stuff from a good source

actually you have that wrong. if you cant afford to buy the real deal kit buy a "blue class" kit. its the higher quality fiberglass kits thats a hybrid of urathane and fiberglass. its more resistent to damage and can flex. gtp sells alot of blue class kits. hope that helps

Thanks for setting me straight. I had always seen the cheap kits as the blue ones, and cheap also meaning low quality, not in materials, but in quality of the kit. i.e. fitting and installation.

remember a kit is only as good as the person putting it on. even the best quality kits will look like ish if they arent installed right.
