I don't really see a huge improvement in fuel economy or HP.

And to be honest, the throttle response might be because the plenum was filthy and I cleaned it (actually my wife did).

Let's say the improvements were all because of the spacer, then I got slightly better fuel economy and throttle response was better.

No problems.

Do the MREV2 upgrade if you have an 05+. The spacer is pretty much useless without it.

Can you explain that?

I did some reading on a past post and it didn't make sense. Like you buy the Mrev2 which is from the non-revup motor and it gives you more torque, but then you sacrafice HP because you starve the plenum of air, so then you compensate by adding a spacer?

The 03-04 lower plenum design flows better than the 05+. The MREV2 from motordyne is the non-REVUP lower plenum that is modified to fit in the 05+ REVUP design (they polish up a section to remove some material). The spacer is designed to go with this version of lower plenum (non-REVUP).

I'm not sure if the MREV2 starves the plenum of air; I would think that it allows for better flow. The spacer allows the rear cylinders to get sufficient flow as well, due to the design of the plenum.

So, if you have an 03-04, only a spacer is needed. If you have 05+, the MREV2 and spacer is needed.

as for the BLOX, it isn't a 3/4" spacer....it is 5/8"

Since I've had mine on, I've had no problems and think that gas mileage is similar to before, maybe slightly better.

Its definitely worth getting this spacer and saving some cash over the motordyne's overprice one.

I dont know if there are any aftermaker tower braces that will still fit over this though...

JOE-

the MREV2 offers no additional flow over the stock lower plenum for the 03-04 ??

I'm guessing a typo and you meant front right? The TB is near the rear cylinders , so as soon as air enters the plenum it's the fronts that starve a little bit. Hence the staggered spacers are thicker near the front so the front cylinders get more air. The same goes for aftermarket plenums, they are taller near the front to compensate for the downward slope of the stock plenum. Maybe I just read your post wrong.....I promise I'm not trying to

at cha! just want things to be clear

That is correct... super minimal gains if any.. it's like holding money out the window and letting it go..

i installed this spacer yesterday...didn't really notice any difference...the throttle response seems a bit better but i think its just cause i cleaned the inside of the plenum. It was a pretty easy install. i would only recommend it if you don't plan on getting a whole new manifold.
