Ok I don't know if this was covered ever at all. But im trying to find a vq35de non HR. What are the differences with the fwd and the rwd blocks? What im trying to do is toss a vq into my ae86 I've found some but they are either altima or i35 or maxima motors. And will this work with a rwd setup or will they not work with a rwd setup? Are the mounting points completely different and what about the intake exit side? Just looking for a little info to help this build. Thanks

Ok ill change my question. Will a fwd block work on a rwd configuration. What im wondering is does the fwd blocks have the same mounting points for rwd as well?

No, the engine mount holes are pushed a little further back on the engine on a FWD. The RWD holes are more centered out on the motor. Oil pans are going to differ as well as intake manifold and minor s*** here and there. Get a 350z or g35 vq so you dont have to deal with any of the conversions

I bought my engine and tranny for 1200 bucks. Just be patient and youll find a good set.
