I managed to get off the differential drain and fill plugs (the square femalie ones) with the 1/2" but it was pretty loose in their. The drain plug on the transmission is jammed pretty good and the 1/2" is starting to leave grooves. The 3/4" is obviously way to big. What the hell are you supposed to use? I drove to a nissan mechanic to ask today and he said he just used a 1/2" breaker bar, which is exactly what I'm using. I think i may have to use an impact gun and don't want to stip the bolt. Why did nissan use these confounded contraptions? has anyone here found a replacement, as in a regular bolt.

Get a set of metric wrenches and sockets. Unless I'm mistaken, every hex bolt on our cars is metric.

its not hex, its square, i think hex will strip it worse than the 1/2" drive (the ratchet square thing with no adapter on it). I've never seen metric sized rachet heads, maybe in japan....

Everything is metric....... except these plugs and your spark plugs. You need to use a 1/2" drive ratchet to take out the plugs (there are no metric drives). If it's loose, it's been damaged.... but because it's square, it's pretty hard to round it out...... get a longer johnson bar or an impact gun.

Hope that helps
