bell housing changes

I have a 1998 nissan 300zx, can i swap the bell housing of the manual transmission with that of a 1997 nissan pathfinder bell housing.

there is no 98 300zxin the states, and the only Z's with a removable bellhousing are the 82-83 S130 turbo and the 84-86 Z31 turbo, allt he others use a split case design, the pathy I assume uses the same trans as the 84-89 z31 n/a, just a guess
