Not that I would ever think about touching alcohol until I am of age but..."I hear..."

Sidewalk Slam (3/4 40 of King Cobra + 1/4 Can of 8.0% Tilt) makes a wonderful tasting beverageand a Tally of Mickeys if i'm not up for getting trashed (which I hardly drink anymore)

Stella Artois is a damn tasty lager. For ale, I like Newcastle. But if you wanna get serious, get some Chimay. And drink it in a chalice

All these Stella fans here. I've called Stella the "Budweiser of Europe" for years - long before they bought the actual brand. There's nothing bad about it, but certainly nothing spectacular.

I'm a beer snob, mainly because I used to live in Germany. In my refrig right now I've got a couple of Old Speckled Hen (cans, not bottles - its all about the widget!), some Spaten Lager, a couple of Spaten Optimators, a Spaten Pils and a pair of Ayinger Celebrators. Celebrator is quite possibly the finest beer I've ever had. I've also got some Sammy Light and some Corona for guests that don't care what they drink.

I'm not a huge beer fan but every now and again I like to enjoy one or two. Normally I drink Yeungling Lager. Bottle, not tap or can.

But when I can get it, I like a wheat beer. I really like Dreamweaver Wheat Ale by Troegs Brewing Company here in central PA.

Spaten makes good stuff...I've bought I dunno how many mini kegs of Spaten Munich...the last one I got was quite flat though, so I haven't gotten one in a while...made me sad.

I usually get some Yuengling lately...good taste for a price that can only be beaten by something that tastes like it came out of a dog.

I'll drink any beer as long as it has alcohol. My favorites are Budweiser and Coronas. I've had really good nights sipping on 40oz anything and you can't forget the tall boy hidden behind a paper bag. I've had Fat Tire, Bastard Ale, Stella Artois and to me they all taste like crayons. Maybe they weren't cold enough? Maybe I'm just used to drinking cheap s***. Either way, I love beer and I'll drink it warm, I'll drink it cold, I'll drink it even if it makes me old. LOL...felt like rhyming.

Right now I 'm drinking McSorley's Pale Ale, found it at wal mart. It's pretty good and was cheap as well.

If I could live off Bell's Expedition Stout I would.

In the last several days I have finished a tour of the Founder's beers I have in my cellar, drinking the second out of each 4 or 6 pack I have. It was a very good week (and some cool names):

Thurs - Red Rye ale, Dirty Bastard (Scotch Ale)Fri - Harvest Ale, Old Curmudgeon (barleywine)Sat - Double Trouble (Double IPA), Breakfast StoutSun - Backwoods Bastard (Oak aged Scotch ale) Mon - Imperial Stout - almost as good as Expedition

Bud Light. Beer snobs may scoff at it, but I've been to dozens of countries and gotten destroyed off hundreds of beers and nothing does it quite like Bud Light. It's the only beer I've come across that you can get royally destroyed the night before, vomit until you pass out, wake up with a screaming hangover, drink one in the morning to pacify your headache a bit and have it still taste good. Miller Light is a close second.

Bud light is good for beer pong, quarters, or chug. Mostly because it helps separate the weak from the ones who can actually put away a few beers.

Beer's I've tried this month:Dixie Orangeboom3 HorsesFull Moon (much like blue moon)Bastard AleLabatte Blue (my keyboardist only drinks this beer)Bud light w/ Lime (couldn't tell the difference so I added my own lime)Hemp Ale Fat Tire (meh I prefer newcastle)

^^^^^Bastard Ale? Do you mean Arrogant Bastard by Stone? I couldn't find a beer just called "Bastard Ale".

Fat tire is not a good example of a Belgian ale, it is nearly tasteless - and Stella Artois is most definitely NOT a Belgian, it is a pale lager brewed in Belgium.

If you want to try a good example of a belgian ale readily available, check out Duvel - it's a little pricier but well worth it. Or PranQster by North Coast, though it is not as widely available as Duvel. Or anything by Ommegang.

But be careful, Duvel has a bit of a punch, 8.5% alcohol - twice as much as bud light.

Yeah its commonly known in California as just "Bastard Ale" they used to sponsor a lot of small venue metal shows.

Fat Tire in the states is brewed in Colorado, I mentioned I tried it but pesonally I believe Piraat is a better Belgium beer.

Stella Artois is like soda, but its good for working on cars.

I'll pick up some Duvel pending my local beer mart has it, but its percentage is just shy of Piraat's.

Pick up some Oranjeboom, or Three Horses if you like Belgium beer, I feel somewhat lucky the local place sells 6-packs for 3.99.

I tried 4 new beers while on vacation last week:

UFO (Harpoons Unfiltered Offering): A Hefeweizen unfiltered wheat beer. Was very good

Allagash White wheat beer. Was also pretty good but a tad on the bitter side

Sea Dog Wild Blueberry Wheat Ale. I'm not a fan of blueberry but could deal with this beer in a pinch. Had more of a blueberry smell than the blueberry candles my wife bought...

Flying Dog In-Heat Wheat Hefeweizen Ale. Another mellow wheat beer that gets a thumbs up.

What sucks about vacationing and buying microbrews, I can't get them here in KS!

That said, i tried another few brews. A white ale, Double IPA, Tripel, Quad and an Imperial stout. Nothing to really talk about except for the Stout. It's the Mephistopheles by Averyhttp://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/30/28204

I am really liking this beer! 16% AbV and ~$45/6pack, so I don't drink too much of it. I just wish it came in the usual 750ml bottle...but the I'd be pretty tipsy, since that'd be like drinking 7 bud lights.
