Thats no rumor boss... the g37s BBK.. The akebono kit... it will fit the ac.

You just need 19"s or bigger.

That would be the one I buy if I were going to get them... and I would have them powdercoated some sweet color

Exactly what I think. Which is why I got a BBK for the front and rear before I turboed my coupe. Nicely said Matt.

go to g35parts.com, if you want the front alone it'll be cheaper...call and talk to a sales rep...for the front kit alone, you'll need the calipers, rotors (aftermarket rotors are available, ex. cross drilled/ slotted, etc), brake pads (aftermarket pads are available also to cater towards track use, etc.) that's it. you may have to order stainless lines from stillen or something if you want those. My friend was looking into it and i think the cost were about 1400 for the front and back bbk upgrade. I must say this setup works wonders maybe because our cars are about 600 lbs lighter then the gcoupes. that's my review and i haven't even installed the rear setup as of yet.

the brake configuration i have are all oem infiniti/nissan parts. When i tell you it stops, it's aggresive. the only thing you'll notice is that the pedal sensitivity goes away, like with the oem altima setup you touch the brake pedal and you feel the initial bite. With this setup you need a little more pedal travel before you feel it grip. When it does grip and you apply the brake even more it starts clamping down with alot more force, i feel this is due to maybe a smaller brake booster unit equipped in our vehicles as opposed to the g37s, however im not certain. If you auto x i would recommend probably some project mu brake pads or hawk hp+ along with some stainless lines and some high end brake fluid, maybe the motul rbf600. The oem pads seem more focused around cold biting rather than abuse.

the brake fluid is a great upgrade due to the higher rated boiling point of the fluid. Sometimes you can have upgraded pads, brake lines and rotors but your brake fluid starts boiling. This causes a spongy brake pedal feel because the fluid develops air bubbles in the lines which will then start evaporating and turn into gas, it also happens with a clutch system that shares the same reservoir because the clutch lines also develop air bubbles leading to a faded clutch pedal feel. there's a great write up on it in the homepage for the nico project g37s when they did the brake upgrade. they explain it more in depth. check it out. enjoy your weekend

the brembo caliper from the 03-04 g35 coupes and the z's i believe are a different bolt alignment and may not fit...i think you'll need to fabricate some type of adapter kit to use this kit.

Mr Coupe, I am going down the same path as you. I purchased the front and rear AP BBK, before the Turbo. Im getting some major sqeeking though. Are there Diff pads i can purchase to reduce the noise? If so, which ones?

Thanks

That's normal with these BBK's. I'm having the same problem and I spoke to Kyle Millen when I saw him at a meet we had at Stillen a while ago. He said that there are lower grade pads that you can buy from them, BUT that they will not be able to withstand the same amount of heat and abuse as the ones I bought. When I bought my BBK's I told them that I wanted "THE BEST of EVERYTHING" price wasn't an issue. They gave me a killer setup, but you do have to deal and put up with those noises .

I got my turbo done by Tim at Speed Force Racing. You can check out his site http://www.speedforceracing.com You can give him a call and tell him that Ricky ( With the AC Dark Slate Turbo ) sent you. Then you can get the price and everything from him. He should know who I am by now since my car has been at his shop for about 3 months now getting work done to it... .

I don't see how you can be without your car for 3 months. I'm dying and I've only been away from my car for about 2 weeks.

It's not easy bro, but I have my Jetta VR6 Turbo to drive around . It's worth the wait knowing that my AC is going to KICK AZZ when I get it back .

Ricky C,

Na bro, I’m in Iraq right now finishing my 12 month endeavor. I should be able to call here within the next couple days. As soon as I get a chance and get some word ill post what I get. I don’t know if I’m excited b/c I’m finishing my tour or b/c I know I’m getting some force induction in the ride.

Do you guys think its worth it to do the front BBK and get different matching rotors and caliper color? or just get new rotors and powdercoat the calipers/ New calipers?

Im running on 20'a BTW and i dont know if ill turbo my car too soon but would look "that look" the BBK upgrade gives.

If you're going to be boosting your car soon then I would recommend a BBK. You're running 20's on your car. I'm not sure how heavy they are, but I think that 20's on an AC would make the car feel heavy while launching or flooring the gas pedal. This are quotes by phenom and me from earlier in this thread of what we think about BBK's...
