Battery Question

Car will not turn. Headlights will come on ONLY! I think I have my battery hooked up wrong..

Here is my NEW battery and my wires.. which wires go where???

What is the thinner wire to the left? Is that needed? Where do the other two thick ones connect (positive or negative)????

You will have to trace the source of the two smaller wires, although most likely they power an amplifier or a set of fog lights and would be connected to the positive terminal. The blackwire with the stripe is most likely the negative connection and grounds to the engine bay and then to the transmission.

Look and see where the wires are hooked up too! If you had it backwards it blows the main fuse. Car not turning over could be either low battery or dead starter solenoid as the most common.

Black with yellow stripe is the negative (ground), it should be bolted to the firewall directly behind the battery. Verify it to confirm proper orientation.

White wire is the positive lead to the starter.Red wire is likely the positive (power source) for an amplifier or other aftermarket accessory.Large wire in loom is positive batter cable.

The battery is in backwards.

As robomatic12 stated, if you hooked them up in backwards, you likely blew the main fuse at minimum. Check the fuses in the small box directly in front of the battery.

Which fuse am I looking for? How to tell if it's blown? Where to get another if so?
