The summit kits sucks a$$, I got that for my car and it sucks, but I used it. I will be making an aluminum box for it as well as a enclosed compartment for it to sit in.They give you 2gauge wire, and depending how you connect it to your stock/existing batter cable you will need some posts to fit inside the existing cable and will need some solder plugs for the end of the new cable. Spend the money and buy a good box. As far as running the wires, I pulled out a plug from my trunk and cut a hole inside of it and made a grommet for it. The hardest part of my install as putting in the battery shutoff on the bumper (pics at http://www.ka-t.org) so it was NHRA legal.

I don't think the summit kit is that bad.

"some posts to fit inside the existing cable and will need some solder plugs for the end of the new cable."

what do you mean?

I used the terminals the kit came with and used a screw and nut to attach the positive wire to the stock wire up front. Yes the box isn't aluminium, don't really know if that is a problem in NHRA or Autocross... but hell we don't have that here. :D

Anyway, you could always see what the kit comes with and buy that seperately. It's not much anyway. Wires, box and terminals mainly. Everything else if to get the box in place.
