battery ground

Hello I'm kinda New to this
I recently changed my battery and I had to cut the wire behind the ground and I can'tf ind a similar clamp tor replace it so can I just run a grounding wire from the negative terminal to the ground spot on the car

I'm sorry the ground spot behind the battery whe the negative grounds to the car body I can't send a pic till tomorrow

So you cut the terminal off, and now you're asking if you can just replace the whole wire with a new terminal and anchor it to the same spot as the old wire?

Yes, provided the gauge wire is thick enough.

Neg bat ground points are at the firewall and the top right transmission bolt.
