anyone installed their Bat's overlay by themselves?

i currently purchased Bat's headlight eyelids and roof overlay.however, his installer in NJ quoted me 150 just to put the roof overlay on.

i was just wondering if anyone has installed the overlay themselves and if it's easy to install.

thanks in advance for ur help.

I watch youtube videos for a long time. I did my tail lights by my self the first time and to be honest they were not bad. They were defiantly not perfect but being my first time, not too bad.

Bat's Installer for SoCal wanted 100 bucks for my tails. but I think the roof overlay is very easy. just educate your self and give it a go! DIY'ers for the win!

Isn't your car in the shop being worked on my other people?.....

haha jk man, (can't wait to see it)

I did my tails about a years and a half ago and they still look really good, besides the area that get a little torn up from the carwash.

I think I would have someone else do the roof overlay, seems a lot harder since it's such a big piece of vinyl.

I have no where to do paint. Paint has to be done at a shop lol.

The doc and I are going to be doing . . . .

Roof may be bigger, but its flat.

just finished installing the eyelids, hopefully it won't fall off after a car wash.feel like i did it wrong or some.

haven't done the roof yet, as i found out the overlayd doesn't have the "shark fin" part. i'm wondering if i should remove the thing or should i paint the fin after installing.

looks like you have a bigger than usual gap between the hood and the eyellids, i don't have these but i remember people installing these and saying that the overlay actually wraps around the to minimize the look of that gap.. otherwise looks really nice, i'd do it on mine but IMO they don't look so great on a black car

ok, here's the deal.

installed it myself, which was a good/bad decision....made a hole for the "fin", it looks all good from the far distance.close look wasn't that good as i'm not an expert of cutting the edge...

the bad thing is......i drove the car after 2 hours of installing, and it blew off my roof......so i guess i'll have to order another set of the thing and have some professionals to install it for me...

here's a pic after i installed it.

Ive had all overlays from bat

I just do not recommend the back tailights

ive had them installed and ive only had them for about 1 year and 1/2 and they started getting like weird dry holes. Idk if it was the way they were isntalled or if it is the overlay but no bueno!
