What do you guys think a bagged 5th gen would look like? Sound like a good idea? I think it'd be fun...my labor is free...and thats whats expensive...the parts I pay dealer price for...so I think it'd be fun....yay or nay guys?

Well, I only had a minute in photoshop, so no shadowing...

Definitely not for me. The4 front wheelwell is way too large in comparison to the rear, to make this car a "bagger". You could run two different sized wheels, but it's definitely something I would not do.

I think with 19"s or 20"s it might look okay.

I'll re-shop it tonight. I'll try to put the look of 20's and 22's in there.

Airbag suspension is what he's referring to.

I don't think photoshopping this mod does it justice...but I see what you mean about the fenders....I wonder if they make any kits for this...I know for a fact they do for the mustang...so if they can fit one in that thing I don't see why not the maxima...haha

Do it. At last years NOPI Nationals in Atlanta, there was a bagged 4th gen. I thought it looked great. I was very impressed with the effort and fabrication that was involved.

Photoshop pwnd me tonight... This is as good as I can do, tonight at least.

From doing measurements on my car, and resizing the wheels, these are right between a 20 and 22. Looks a lot better, and with shadowing, would look a lot better. In real life, I think it may look a lot better than I was thinking last night.

not a bad idea imo, but I would go with a 4th or 6th gen if possible. 5th gen would look just not right i think. but hey, its your call

Here's a couple of pictures of the 4th gen bagged Max from NOPI. When the staff voted for the NICO awards, I demanded that this car was in the top 3 due to the fact that this was not a bolt-on installation, I understood the amount of fabrication it took to install a kit like this, and that the car maintained a "stock" look (very clean install and fab work).

Very cool...the only problems I'm still going to face are space...I am going with either 3 or 4 12" subs in the trunk...the only issue is space for the tank and such...I guess when I get the car I'll be showin you guys lots of pics! Haha

I found one! http://www.cardomain.com/ride/687468/3What do you guys think? So maxhopper97....I can expect a top 3 vote from you when she's done? When I end up doing this...I want to get it lower though....and hopefully when fully inflated I can get it tall too...it'd be perfect for the nice fun winters we have in Pennsylvania...I'm so excited for this car..I'll need the supercharger for all the added weight I'm putting in...just so I can keep up with the stock maximas....

Haha glad to hear it. I'm all about having the best...and working with all the best techs in town..I have a Master Tech helping me with all the electrical and my engine work will all be done by pros. My buddy has a 700hp 300ZX hence why I chose Nissan as my platform, he knows his ****...I'm using nothing but the best components...not sure what brands I'll be using for the suspension also I'll be getting somesort of lip kit, I'll be using 3 SoundStream 12" subwoofers and polk audio momo speakers all around...I'm sure I'll be in the ballpark of 1600 or 1700 watts RMS...I'll be getting a repacked alt, installing a computer somewhere in the car, the pioneer DEH-P9800BT head unit...actuators on the amps...it's gonna be a lot of stuff and it's all going to be done right...hell even if I want to do something half assed they won't let me. The install in the trunk is what I'm really excited for..my good friend Paul Guarino helped build the STi that was on the cover of SuperStreet (August Issue) and wired up the 700hp 300ZX I was telling you guys about, the guy's a genius...I'm interning with him so I'm learning from the best when it comes to wiring and install and such (and my labor is free)...he built me a box for my 2 12" SVC Polk Audio MOMO subs and my system is hitting 127dB at the front windshield and the back seat up (it doesn't fold down) and not an inch of dynamat (except for the license plate) I'm afraid of the 3 DVC 12" subs haha. So you guys can count on a sweet maxima build when she's done.

If you'd like to document your build process through articles and pictures; I'd be happy to have it posted on the NICO home page as well as on the Maximaclub.org page.

Oh...sweet man...you guys are a lot nicer than the guys on the impala forum (bunch of really arrogant adults...)....yeah I'm into it...we can do the same thing for the 240 too...I'm not sure if it'll be as interesting...the whole thing will be gutted...it'll be a chassis with a motor, transmission, and 4 wheels (honestly body panels are just dead weight anyway)...haha....since they're such heavy cars...thanks for the support, brother!

I did look at that one...I really like it and I really like the interior...but it's a bit too....racey...definetly not rice...looks very clean and very nice install but that body kit wouldn't fit what I'm going for...I'm gonna go for more luxury and style kinda thing....not so much fast...I'd never make a car look fast...that isn't fast....(hence why my impala doesn't have a body kit or a spoiler or anything like that) the maxima...will be just way too heavy to be quick...but it will be supercharged for highway fun and show of course...no one likes to look at a stock engine...unless it's an NSX, Ferrari, or something else exotic.
