Id say looking good, but there is no WIN in sight yet.

Keep up the good work, I'm considering a AWD swap now!

Hi,,Good luck on your swap project, My son and I have swapped an RB26DETT AWD setup into an S13, here is a link to a picasa album of pictures for many of the parts and some of the strut photos were taken off of our pages. I drive this car every day so I know it works. Certainly it is still a work in progress but it does drive straight, and as my son says, Dad you drive it like you stole it! I know it works. Our home grown control for the AWD setup still needs refinement but for now it works. Great pics of your project so far and again, I wish you the very best luck. Better to do it than sit and dream it.

Do you have a source for the td05 to t3 or are you just using e-bay? I have an Rb20 and was going to use a t3/t4 turbonetics but it is hitting exhaust manifold and internal gate sounds easier. I might just go with this I know the My fellow subaru owners use the td05 as well.

Back from "Vacation". Let me answer a few questions.

Darius- So was your entire response. Irony. Everyone has a bad day.

Truckskinjoe- It's me Nick! Whats up?

Flamereka- Yeah, Ebay or search for adapters on Google.

The Tdo5 works great, and is quite cost effective!

<edit> I know nico doesn't allow thread linking to other nissan forums, but I think this one should stick just to piss off the OP who went out of his way to delete everything from his thread.

His project looks like it is going pretty well though.

EDITED BY MOD:

I removed your link and will be fixing the problem shortly. Please stand by......

I don't think there have been any updates, but I could be wrong. GTRs13 is on rbforums now.

Guess who's back...

Back again...

So after some disagreement between me and some other people, I am back from another vacation. Hopefully it won't happen again on both ends.

I have been working a lot lately to finally finish the most important details of this swap, and I promise I will fill all who are interested in ASAP.

The update is that there is a local machine shop helping me design the front suspension adapters, and when they are done, you won't be disappointed.

That's all for now, see you soon.

Nice build so far. Pretty detailed info, concentrate all this info and you got yourself a how to AWD 240sx RB build for anyone willing to go big . Those adapters are you talking about the adapters you had the picture on the 1st page?

I dont own a 240....yet. but it seems to me that it would be easier to weld in the strut mounts and the complete k frame(sorry for my terms im a muscle car guy) and suspension should bolt up ,correct? To me the funnest part of auto mechanics is the fabrication! Keep up the good work

Can't post the link because it is against "the rules". But it is .org, not .com.

i got bad news, its going to be hard to run that 16g on that motor, i tried to run those as twins, and the way the internal gate worked, and just design of turbo made it impossible to use unless using a custom echaust manifold and even than the compessor outlet is in a odd spot, i wish you luck but i remeber having that issue and ditching it for a holset

He is on northwest nissans under the same user name. The last I heard, he was trying to sell his project. Not sure why though?

Eh, nothing too detailed. Here is a pic from last November right after I swapped strut towers, frame rail/chassis modifications. Don't mind the temp x-member bolts.
