what are you guys paying for your ca motor, trans, ecu, harness, and accessories (alternator, turbo, etc)?? (basically all the stuff to drop in it)

Im looking into a swap sometime in the future and I was just wondering if most guys got them from the popular places like jhot and jarco, or if you guys all had connections

Thanks!

Jhot, around $1000 shipped, everything I needed except the downpipe. I paid around $160 for a megan racing 02 housing and downpipe, and $75 for my wiring service, and $6 bucks for new spark plugs. so around 1260 or so. Don't expect yours to be quite that cheap.

That's a very good price. I just ordered one after searching for a while, and the least I could find was $1350 shipped without the intercooler. Other places wanted 1500 + shipping and still didn't include the intercooler.

gotta say what it came with though.. $950 is a good deal if it comes with everything, but if it leaves you hunting for resistor boxes, mafs, intercooler, or even harness/ecu, its not as great.

he didnt say 15 grand, he said 15 hundred, as in $1500. Usually the more expensive motorsets are actually front clips. They chop a car in half and send the whole front end and sometimes the differential too. Those really make it easy to swap cause you dont have to locate any odd parts you might need.

I wish I had bought a front clip...

Sorry, my bad!

I missed it, but I think he means that he has dumped 13-14K more in mods after he dropped the motor in. I probably didnt have to say that but i did anyway doh!

I paid $400 for mine with an extra head, brand new SPEC Stg 2 clutch, SR T25 w/HKS actuator, extra intake manifold, couple extra ignitors, couple MAFs, and some other misc items... but it needed a bottom end refreshening. When I am done putting it back together, I will have spent around $1200-1400. Of course, I am replacing EVERYTHING.
