ok heres the deal. i could get my hands on a 1995 240sx, 107k miles, automatic. the car was crashed in on the front, and the owner is selling it without the motor for possibly cheap. i am about to buy a 1991 240sx with only 90k miles but a bad auto trans. i was originally thinking 5 speed swap, but now im wondering if the 1995 s14 auto trans will work in the 1991 s13. it would make for a good car for my girlfriend with the auto trans.

im almost sure it will bolt up, i just dont know if it will work correctly like if theres different electronics or something.

thanks!

Are you sure the 91 has transmission problems? Most automatic S13's have rev limiter problems. This is a very common problem and easy fix. It seems like a transmission problem because the car will not shift out of first. If you just unplug the rev sensor, the car will shift fine without it. Under the hood, on the left, there is a fuse box. Behind it there is a vertical row of 3 little wire clip thingies. Unplug the top one, and voila! fixed...maybe.zer...age=1

My 92 auto will shift out of first and all the way in to 4 but not until about 4 grand for each gear. Same problem or not? also can the sr20 trans mount up to the ka24?
