I have the chance to pick up an automatic ca18det for a good price from a reputable place locally, but its automatic :tears How hard do you guys think it will be to find either a) a manual transmission for the car or b) atleast a bellhousing that i can put KA transmission into?? Im not too worried about the flywheel but a stocker would be nice because of the price

Also, the CA18det automatic and manual are the same internally correct?

thanks!

its extremly easy all you have to do is use a KA24 transmission remove the bellhousing and take the bellhousing off the automatic and put it on the KA transmission bam bolt up. KA and CA transmission's are the same except bellhousing even the gearing is the same.

LOL. not even close pumaking!

get a CA18ET or CA20E bellhousing from an old s12 200sx (1985-1988) and combine THAT to a KA transmission. that's your only option other than finding a used CA18DET transmission from somewhere
