The manual says the windows will go down after you unlock the doors then hold unlock button down (my Mercedes and Honda did this) My Versa won't do it.

Also Manual says doors will auto lock when driving (or something like that) again, mine don't.

I assume it is a programming issue?!?!? Anyone know how to program these items so the work?

Versa is an SL

Thanks in advance!

As far as I know the Versa will not do what your are trying to do.

I understand that either the 09 or 10 nissans are finally going to go with auto locking doors.

My Altima windows will go down when the lock and unlock buttons are pushed at the same time.

Mine is a 2008 SL w/ convenience package. I assume this package give all possible programmable features?!?!?

Looking at the on line manual: http://www.nissanversa.org/dow...m.pdf

The windows w/ remote feature is in the manual in 2 places:on page 3-8 (Pre-driving checks and adjustments) and 3-18

I am looking for the auto door lock page.

Same as my V - '08 SL with CP.

Interesting bit about the windows. Seems you have to press the unlock button twice to unlock all the doors, then press and hold it for at least 3 seconds for the windows to open. I'll have to run outside and check mine out here in a bit. Will report back with any findings.

The locks thing is on page 3-17, smack dab in the middle.

After looking at the manual section 3-8 (remote operation info begins on 3-7) it looks to me that the remote auto window down feature does not work with the intelligent key that comes with the convienence package - see section 3-7. It looks to be an option with the key fob though..

Hope this helps clear up the confusion. Although, I just checked out section 3-18 and it does state the intelligent key should do this "if so equipped". mmmmh. I will check this out with mine today and post my results. I also have the convienence package with intelligent key. The manual is a little confusing isn't it?

Very confusing, indeed! I was going off what was printed on page 3-18 which does specifically mention the I-Key. Maybe this functionality was removed for some reason with the US or NA vehicles? Because I just tried mine, and it's a no-go.

Ok, I checked out the owner's manual link you provided (apparently for a 2007 Versa) and compared it with my 2008 Versa owner's manual. The 2008 manual reads differently than the 2007 version and it seems to be a little less confusing. Bottom line: The intelligent key operation does not include remote window lowering.

I also tried it as the 2007 manual stated it would work, but it did not work with my 2008 SL intelligent key.

Sorry...wish I had better results to report. Hopefully the dealer that sold you the car did not misrepresent it to you.
