I will end up taking pre-cal in my junior year along with physics, then calculus. I am aso planned on taking Auto Tech 1 in my junior year and auto tech 2 in my senior, do you think i should take those courses? And besides the ones i need to complete to graduate, are there any others you would recommend? Thanks
Taking calc and physics in high school is largely a waste if you plan on going into engineering and you don't do the AP...I ended up having to take everything over again since I did pretty horrible on the AP calc test and didn't take the one for physics.EZcheese15 wrote:I never took any auto-tech classes in highschool, but my brother did....and he said it wasn't worth it. It would benefit you more to stay on the college-prep schedule by taking calc, physics, etc. I would try to take AP physics and AP calc in high school if you can, that way you can skip them in college. If you can't take those in high school, try to get as close as you can. I would make sure you are atleast through pre-calc in high school.

since i don't have a SAT score, would it be better if i go to my local community college and transfer over after 1 year or semster(which ever it is to transfer)
EZcheese15 wrote:You don't need an SAT score to get into MSU. You just need ACT's.
As for screwing up high school, as long as you have a HS degree, you can do it in 5 years no problem. 4 if you are crazy like I was and take a gazillion credits per semester. I was simply saying that AP classes can help get you ahead. I mean, you can take algebra and pre-calc in college, but that just adds to the # of classes you need to graduate.
