Nah, I'll be fine, I did 3 different things to make sure I'm safe:
1. Since I'm also a resident of Canada, I registered the car to myself in Canada, just in case...2. I'm gonna register the car in my state and make it state legal, not federally legal.3. I'm a licensed dealer so I can legally drive the car as long it has the dealer plate on it.
All this trouble just for a car... I think its worth it!

Being Canadian is good but take the advice wisely, several states are cracking down on "state legal" import cars with short VIN's and lack of EPA/NHTSA papers on file. There's already over 20 owners working a court case right now to keep their cars before export date by order of the Department of Justice.
I just don't want to see anyone get their car snatched because they were not informed on current events right now. Major details in regards to this are not discussed on a open public forum like NICO, we (Skyline owners) keep the discussions in house over at SOUSA to ensure correct information is passed to the right people and not leaked to non owners, etc.
You may get past the person at the DMV counter handing out your registration and plates but in 1-2 months you'll get a letter in the mail from the DMV HQ requesting you to bring your vehicle into their theft and fraud department for a inspection, they'll also tell you to bring your EPA/Bond papers.
