How much power can you get out of a CA before you need new head studs and head gasket? Also are spending $300 on arp head studs nessessary or can I just get stock?

$300 on ARP headstuds? W-T-F? Dude, they are like $97 shipped. It's not power that kills the gasket, its pressure and/or detonation. The reason people get ARPs is because they will not stretch over time and under pressure like the stock bolts will.

sweet where can i get these for that price for a CA? The local speed shop was saying $300 for some reason. Mabye these are rare for CA's?

Call ARP directly... It's part # 202-5402. It comes up as the SR20 main stud kit, but that is what you want. There is something wrong with the CA specific kit as they are the wrong thread pitch. I know because I bought them and they didn't fit and had to exchange them for the others.

thats strange, i got the CA kit, must have been 4-6 months ago and it fit perfectly (pitch, one washer per, everything)
