Are the shocks the same for each side?

I Just put on the new struts and they had an L and R stamped on them so you know what side. When I went to do the shocks I realised there was no L or R stamped on it. So does it matter what side I put them on?

I don't know much about maximas but just match them up by things like the brake hose clips or something of the sort. If their isn't anything like that to match sides then they are probably the same.

Per info from IoS, the part number for the left and right shocks are the same.

They are different in the front, but the same in the back. As someone already said, check the tabs for clues as to left and right.
