Does anyone know of the April rebates/interest rates yet? I'm having a very hard time with the dealership giving me the price I want. It's currently a $750 rebate, I;m just wondering if it would be wise to wait til Tuesday (apr 1) to purchase the car.. if it's a better deal?

Thanks

uhm... how?

unless you were upside down 4k on your truck, and paying at least 7%, the math doesn't work out.$3500 down on my Versa, no trade, 4.9% for 5 years, amortizes to $14,500 paid over 5 years on a $13,000 loan. $1500 total interest.

This is the story I got...I'm not sure it's true but it did make a bit of sense to me. March is a HUGE month for most car dealerships since it is the last month of the first quarter and it pretty much sets the sales expectations for the rest of the year. Nissan sets a higher incentive for the month of March so that means dealerships are trying to sell as many Nissans as possible during that month. I just bought my Versa last week and the dealer bent over backwards to get me in the car. I have no idea what will be offered for April but I couldn't take the chance of losing the 2.9% financing offered in March.

Stinking American . . . errr . . . Canadian prices.

And stinking Canadian taxes [$2,788!!!]

Interest rate 3.9% over 60 months -- if I'd waited a week I'd have had it at 0.9% but would have lost a rebate -- difference over term of about $100. Ah well.

But that $4,000 difference between American and Canadian would have looked nice in my bank account.

Thanks... for some reason I was thinking that March was a big month. I am lookin at a Sonoma Sunset S sedan, nothing fancy really..power locks and windows, kick plates, whatever else. I FINALLY got them down to $14000 OTD, but getting my own finacing else where... this deal STILL sucks cause they're not taking that much off the price. It was originally $15400..700 for my trade in and 750 rebate. Seriously.. I KNOW they make money on these cars, I don't believe that they don't have a huge 'mark up' on them.

I got mine for .9% :D Overall I will have paid 21,300 for my SL with CVT. That's with taxes & interest and all.

so 5 grand owed on the truck, 4 grand paid in trade... that's $1000 upside down... but that 11.9% APR sucks big time. Are you going to pay it down a while then refi through your bank?
