ok my ? is i just bought a v-afc for 100 bucks. i know its for vtec cars but i want to know if i can use it for my ca, as the vtec function can be disabled, what would i have to do to get it to work? just wire it accoring to my engine? or should i just sell it and get the correct one ????

thanx

I would try it myself but I could not in good concience reccomend someone else to try it. It would seem logical for Apex to leave the fuel-mixing part the same as the basic SAFC and just add the VTEC controller but that assumes a lot. I would hit the Apex site and compare the wiring diagrams for both and see how similar they are. If they just add one wire for the VTEC then it might be ok but it's totally on you to try it. If it does work be sure to let everyone know.

just compared the wiring diagrams, the difference aside from the vtec control wires is the v-afc has two red wires (ig power) as the s-afc does not. this is a v-afc 2 if it makes any difference with the 2 red wires. this looks good so far just hoping the programing isn't completly different

yeah, the actual apexi fuel controller is the SAFC.

probably has a big red wire to switch power to the vtec solenoid.
