Does TBW have a finished product for purchase yet? Also, how heavy is this? Thank you.

I'm not sure where he is at with them. I will send him an email.

As for how heavy, it's not heavy at all. Just barely heavier than the OEM garbage.

The M56X is likely to be different from the M56. Also, the M37/M37X would have similar differences. I haven't see any interest besides Ilya initially, so I haven't had any made/finalized. Due to the differences between the vehicles, I would need to test fit on other vehicles and take measurements. At this point I haven't found any local persons who are willing to let this happen. There was one or two that were possibilities but never got back to me so I stopped persisting.

The changes needed for the M56X based off Ilya's description are minor - but I think the RWD vs AWD will have the oil filter locations vary, as well as mounting points.

I'm local to Vegas and live in the South near you TBW. I just purchased a 2012 M56 RWD and am currently having it shipped here. It should arrive some time next week, and I'm fine with meeting up soon after and having you take measurements. PM me contact info and let's coordinate. :dblthumb:

I'm still willing to help just need to find time. I even have a set of akebono calipers that need to be installed just sitting in a box. Need to find a local installer.

Don, where in Jersey are you? Do you have tools? I moved to Newark till the middle of August (unless they let me go sooner) for work to get trained up, etc. before I move back to Albany and work from home. If you want, we can test out my shield on your car to see how much work there is for TBW for a M56/Q70 vs M56x/Q70x. Who knows, maybe there isn't any work.

I'm in South Jersey near Philly, so probably an hr, an hr and 10 from you. I do have tools so that would work out well. Let me know when you're free.

Do you have the right equipment to lift the whole car? I think it makes it easier.

Hey man, sorry, not sure what happened :gotme.

Wanna meet up next weekend (August 1st or 2nd)? I can even do Friday the 31st but it'll be later in the evening like 7PM or so. PM me your address and phone number and we can get together. I have the beta unit, so hopefully we can re-install it without a lift (two of the bolts are a bit tough). I move back home to Albany, NY on August 7th.

We can safely say that the M56x is the same from 2011 to at least 2014 whether or not you have the standard bumper (me) or the Aero bumper (Don). This includes the name change to the Q70. Not sure about the 2015 Q70 5.6L AWD as that had a lot more of a redesign, but I would imagine it's probably good too as the redesign seems to be all external and nothing internal/under the engine.

That being said, and Don can vouch, this shield is one sturdy SOB. I've lately been 'hoppin a curb' to get to I-78 Express from I-78 Local here in Newark (hate traffic as I was telling Don) and looks like I scraped the shield up some. Thing isn't even dented, just a couple of scratches.

For all of you lowered guys, YOU NEED THIS. For all of you non-lowered guys, it makes oil changes a breeze. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Insane/LV, PLEASE meet up with Tollbooth. Me and Don just used both of our factory jacks to lift both cars (first one, then the other) high enough to slide under and were able to remove the stock shield and then test fit it against mine under my car.

So all you need is two Infiniti OEM jacks + 10mm socket + socket wrench. VERY easy.

Help the community out :).

I'm in contact with TBW weekly. He's already measured my M56 and has a template for it that he needs to test on my car and modify if necessary. I'm out of town until next week, then will meet up with him. I'll keep you all posted.

Once InsaneX1 meets with TBW, it should be doable.

If LVAPEMAN56 comes back to vegas I have one cut and ready to install (hopefully) or at least test fit. I expect it will be pretty close as I compared them to the M56X and it wasn't drasically different. Same motor, same doors.

I expect the M37 will be fairly similar to the M35, with similar chassis changes that the G37 had vs the G35. Will probably need to get under InsaneX's car though to know for sure.
