Anyone have the Brian Crower 262 Stage 2 cams in their DE?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

As the topic title says... how do you like them? Any noticeable benefits? I have I/H/E and was casually thinking about getting them.

Semi-unrelated: I noticed Phase2Mototrend is carrying a harmonically balanced Cam/Pulley from ATI now. I remember a long time ago that people had real mixed feeling about the lightened units from Unorthodox/ASP. Anyone have it yet?

I currently have them, but my rebuild process has been so F'ed up, I'm not sure whether they reached their full potential. There definitely was an improvement over stock 91cams. It dynoe'd at one time just over 170hp, however, I have reason to believe that shop rigged the dyno (long story). With a set of adjustable cam gears, they could get a lot better with proper tuning.AMS is currently building my new engine and checking to see if the stage 3 cams will fit in the current head, and if they do, I may have a Stage 2 set to sell; time will tell.

Nope. This is my 2nd S13 as of 2005. Thanks for your thoughts though. That's pretty sweet AMS is building your engine, I like them a lot.

They've been very helpful so far. Right now I'm just getting way too anxious to get my car back.

I got a set of BC stage 2 cams sitting next to me..lol

I'm hoping to install them tomorrow or in the next few days...Be warned..if you buy them new, you have to grind down the end of the Intake cam (I think..I can't remember off the top off my head). Something to do with a slot for the Altima KA distributor. IIRC

Yeah you do have to grind the end off one cam. The difference is quite noticeable though, I'd recommend them.
