anyone gutted their cat?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I doubt anyone has the same setup as me but I'll ask anyway....does anyone with an 07+ sentra gutted their aftermarket cat?

i have the stillen full catback exhaust but if you have another, I'd still really be interested in seeing/hearing a video of what it sounds like because I am seriously considering this. I love the way my stillen exhaust sounds like but I'm looking for something a little louder

It is going to sound and smell like sh*t. Don't do it, you will not like the sound. If it were a turbo car, then that would be a different story.

It's also a federal crime, and the stuff in the cat is NOT something you want to breathe (plus, you can't dispose of it responsibly).

If you want a high flow cat, I can help you out. But you don't need to be tearing up an expensive converter.

Also, it will throw the check engine light, (which you can get around). And, most trouble codes will cause the ecu to back down timing which can hurt power/fuel economy. From what I gather, most modern catalytic converters are not very restrictive. The sound would probably be a little more "tinny" sounding. You'll fail emissions testing too... And I believe void the powertrain warranty.
