there shopuld be about 12 wires that come from the ECU and go to the body harness connector under the dash. if my memory serves me correctly, you only need to use 5 of them. the rest can be taped off and out of the way. orange, yellow/green stripe, yellow/red stripe, black, and blue/black stripe. match those to the body harness connector and voila.

it negates the need to.

*edit* use a OBDI DE intake manifold.

are u trying to tell me that if i use a obd1 intake manifold i wont have wire up the harness to the dash? how does that work...u must not get what im saying, im trying to hook up my tach, speedo, ign, water temp. sensor and the ground wires. usdm240 has the right idea, its just that on obd2 they changed those colors he mentioned.

i do sorry i need to try a little harder to get what im saying across. I know there are some wiring that needs to be done when goin e-de. And there are all sorts of diagrams out there for doin a OBDI DE. So get a OBDI intake manifold and use that so that u can wire the ecu for OBDI and not have to worry bout OBDII. ~am

Youre right. Im going through with the ka-e to ka-de swap...im not doing it myself, but i have people explain to me whats going on so i know how its working. The -e tach doesnt work with the de ecu...So you either have to get a different tach from a de gauge cluster or you can hit up dr1ftready for a cheap ka-de gauge cluster....

About the wiring have no idea...hope that helped!

use a obd1 intake manifold, wiring harness, and ecu. saves a lot of time and energy. Be sure to swap alternators as well.

u need DOHC harness from an S13 to make ur ****en life easier...if u want to take the lazy **** way of doing thing on the manifold...just swap ur throttle body temp sensor and block ur EGR ( if u want Egr u need the pipe form an s13 dohc) and ur ****en done on that side..next u need to change ur alt and ur dizzy

and no ur tach will not work if u still have ur SOHC cluster...

and make sure u have the ign module and ign coil

and BTW for FYI yes spence is a G when it comes to this ****..m.y info is stuff he gave me and **** i comfirmed online with others...

no to mention u need to swap ur headers for DOHC s13 headers so they bolt right up to ur SOHC downpipe...

which i have a set of there OEM nothign special...but if u need em lemme know...i also have a block off plate i made for the EGR

anything else ur too lazy to hit the search button for
