Any recalls on an 02 spec v?

My engine blew on my 2002 ser spec v. People have been telling me that the precat could be the cause and that nissan owes me an engine. Has anybody else heard of this??

It's not clearly listed, but yes there was a pre cat recall on 02 Sentra's. I would just call the local stealership, simply ask if they can check your vin for any recalls and see what they say. I wouldn't mention anything about the motor at first. Just get a feel for what they have to say. If there is a pre cat recall and it was never done, then at least you have a leg to stand on. Excessive oil consumption could also be your problem. They are know to drink oil, have you noticed any consumption issues?

the problem is those recalls dont apply to the 02-03's. its bullshyt. ive asked a dealership about it. they only cover the 04-06. the OP may be assed out.

The precat recall does apply to 02-03s, at least I know 02-03s have gotten replacement engines under it in many places. I think your dealer is misinformed or just a jerk.

I had the pre cat recall done on the wifes car, 2002 Spec V. Somebody fed you a line of b.s.

the nissan dealership ran the vin for me and i they told me the recall expired or some ****. So i got the car towed back to the larry reid dealership where i got the car and i hear back from them today.
