i think it ran, but with the stock ecu, stock clutch and a messed up o2 sencor he didnt want tio drive it. i think

Guess what guys...

Tried a Sentra 2.0, it's actually worst than a Versa SL (The one with CVT)

Looks like I either aim for a Versa SL or a Sentra SER

Sorry that no one is really answering your question. THE TRUTH IS THEY DO NOT MAKE BOLT ONS YET. You have to find a shop that will make you a turbo manifold. You can piece together a turbo kit for under $1000. you will only be able to run stock boost cuz there are no computers out for it. If you know someone that can do a custom tune, than there you go. I would not boost over 8psi the stock clutch can not handle it(there is not one out to replace)- not sure how it will work with cvt or auto. FOR THE RECORD I HAVE SEEN A $5000 DOLLAR CIVIC SMOKE V8 mustang and camaro(not sure what mods were on the american cars). How ever the civic was not a good daily driver. to each is own. people will hate and say buy a faster car( they never seen the look on the drivers face when a 4banger just pulled a 12sec 1/4 mile and you did the work your self.)

by the way I have custom cat back exhaust and CAI. It by no means make the car faster but it response better and gives it more flow. ooh and it sounds good. I paired it with tanabe springs and strut bar upgraded rims. it handles good. I havent been to a track yet. I am debating a 50shot and coilover set. I cant find a shop that can tune.

Yea, I find out may be only a CIA, and that's it.... Personally I don't want to go to that hardcore like Turbo & stuff.... Because I think dropping a SER Vspec engine will actually be easier...

Plus I don't have too good of a feelin that this block is a strong block, so even I boost it, it will blow in no time....

Oh, may I ask, who make that CIA for your car?I am trying to find out who made that for Versa

This may sound like a dumb question but is it possible to do an engine swap on the versa?

only feasible direct swap I can find is the mr20 from the Sentra.

Renault has a really sweet diesel (around 130 hp) or so that uses the same transmission that looks like it might swap fairly easy.

You can also drop a sr20 in there if you wish. Give me a shop, a versa, and a bluebird sr20 and I'll make it work for ya. gonna need a few other things to get it to run but it will....and be hella fast.

This is all been speculation on the motor swaps. Have yet to see a motor swapped into a Tiida/Versa (at least not into the engine bay).

Two questions:

1- Why would it be so much faster than the current set up? Naturally aspired you're looking about about 160-170 HP if everything is done just right. Is there enough room to have both a turbo AND the larger engine?

2 - Would it be street legal? My understanding is that the engine must be at least as new as the car is, and the SR20 is no longer in production.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a V with about 170HP. If Infiniti took the V, added nav, leather, A/C seats, and got about 180HP, I would be more than happy to pay $25k for it.

If someone can shove a v8 into a CRX, then any swap is possible. The only quesiton is how much effort are you willing to put into the project. If the engine bay is too small for your desired engine, make it bigger. Yes that means you have to cut and weld the frame, make new body panels and a new hood, etc, but you could do it. So how much do you really want to do a swap?

I opened 100 and + and thats pretty fast, but it becomes very very unstable. So for fastnes its fast, but very unstable at those speeds.

It can fit I know it can. I have seen both motors in real life and have installed sr20s in countless 240sx's. I know the sizes. The only custom work that needs to be done is the mounts and piping. same as if you were doing a rb25 into a 240sx which i have also done. Actually I assisted but same difference. You might need to get custom hood if you have a top mount intercooler but I would go with front mount.

1. You will be looking at 230+hp (thats just the motor and not hpw) and turbo charged.

2. Street legal isn't an issue for me. I don't feel it should be. Usually cops don't care unless they are strictly by the book or just having a bad day, which is not most of them, I see cops all day setting bad examples. And as long as your not doing anything stupid and shift low they don't really care. Its my car why can't I know do what I want to do with it and enjoy my own car. Be able to drive to places...and you know...show it off what else.

I could get you a V with all that you listed for an Infinite and more hp for less then 25k.

Work on your suspension and 100+ could feel like your flying one with the road. Feels secure...alot more secure then stock.

yea, seems like Engine Swap is the only way for North America's Versa...

Right now (In my eyes wise) the only engine which will fit into there for sure the Sentra 2.0 engine, SER's 2.5... it really will need some work done...

If the CVT can stand on the Pulsar GTR engine (http://www.venus-auto.com/inventory/nis ... 20t-ff.htm)

It will be amazing! Tire smokin for like a 1/4mile, and out run some civics!

And yes, this is possibile, you should see that stupid PT Cruiser with the V10 Viper Engine. When you think about it, how can it fit? the answer is forget about the passenger side, and get ready for the nice & hot engine (Another 4 cylinder is sitting at the passenger side)

When you replace the motor you will be replacing the transmission as well...at least in this case i would...so say good bye to ctv. I would not recommend a sr20 on a ctv transmission...i have no idea what the results are would be.

http://www.nissan-dakar.com/EN....html you can get about 30 horsepower from a good tune. You will lose mpg and have to run 91octane.

Not sure how much power you are looking for but before considering an engine swap, we've made as much as 134 wheel hp with our Versa running a version of our intake, our off-road exhaust pipe and 2.5-inch exhaust. naturally an ai rintake was also part of the equation. We really think 140 wheel hp is possible with tuning, under drive pulleys and maybe more with cam sprockets. Th eintake should take you near 125 wheel hp (up from 111 hp in ou rcase).
