ok heres my situations, i just bought my swap car today its a 90 hatchback, well today upon inspecting the engine bay before i cleaned it, i noticed that one of the coolant line connectors that are in the fire wall is broken off in the firewall. its the top connector, i was wondering if anyone has broken one an knows if you can replace it with out tearing apart the dashboard and taking out the HVAC sytem an pulling out that little connector.

anybody ever encounterd this???

If you're talking about the white, hard plastic pipe, then no, you can't. That's the outlet for the heater core, and you'll have to replace it entirely.

i "just" replaced the heater core today... that was what i had to do, and no i didnt have to tear apart 90% of the interior all i had to remove was the glove box and bracket around it, the blower motor assemply(big white box), then the A/c box i think it was, then i had to cut those white plastic hose conectors that go through the fire wall, slid out the core, slid the new one in off my 91 put on connectors since they were removeavle unlike on the 90's core, then i just stopped ! im leaving it all apart for when i have to pull the ECu harness through an hide the ECU and wiring up under the dash.. it was actually very simple !!! hard part was taking out the 91's crap it has a broken windshield an its a mess in the car! also, K car in another thread we were talking about the options cars having the harness connectors for pwr windows locks and what not, and the non options cars we werent sure they did or didnt have thos connectors!, well i know now for sure they dont, like you suspected or knew
