ANY BODY know about TRANSISTOR UNIT!!!!!!! ????????????

My car is running on only 3-5 cylinders instead of six.....my mechanic says this is my transistor unit....is that possible????????????????????????????

He's probably talking about the power transistors (two) which on the Q45 are mounted on each of the spark plug ornament covers and supply power to the coils/plugs. They're silver and squarish. Probably in a similar spot on the J30.

Don't pay someone to change it out it's a simple DIY. I'm sure they're pretty pricey new but you should be able to find used ones cheap from one of the J30 sellers in the Infiniti Parts For Sale forum. Good luck.
