ok so im an 18yr on an $80/week budget and dont have the cash to get a custom manifold made. i want to run a t3/t04 snail this coming season and it seems liek the ssac top mount is like my only option. now my friends dad is a welder, so i figured he could make the welds stronger, has any1 tried this? i also would prolly throw a few more braces on it

just have your buddy's dad make you a log style manifold. if for some reason he can't source the materials then you can always pick up the kit on ebay for $150. Its simple, cheap, strong and does the job.

reality check. You have $320 a month to work with, don't aim above your cash flow. If you cannot properly execute the big boost then don't start. Get your OE cast manifold ported and get a reasonable T28 actuated turbo. The money you save will allow you to improve your supporting elements and execute the lower power setup reliably and solidly. By trying to get a big screw working on a shoestring you are setting yourself up for failure which will cause damage that will put you two steps back for your one step foward. Be realistic with your budget and lower your goals some so you don't throw away your efforts when cheap parts or work rear their ugly head and take decent parts with them.

Nicely put! Andy, take heed to this because I would've told you something along these lines as well.
