Greetings All!

I am brand spankin new to the Infinity group.. I have owned Nissan's in the past most notably a 93 Maxima SE and a 98 Altima SE.. then I switched over to the world of Diesel 3/4 trucks and started doing performance mods to those big ol trucks. When you can get 450+ RWHP out of a 3/4 ton truck and boost your torque output to 820+ ftlbs then you have POWER!

Well, a change in jobs has required that I move back into a vehicle and thus I have just purchased a 2004 G35 Sedan. She is the Desert Platinum color ( SILVER ) with the 5 speed auto. The car is fast... but in the immortal words of Tim the Toolman, I want MORE POWER! I cannot just leave this alone so I will be researching what is available in the aftermarket for performance upgrades, etc.

Glad to have found this club. In my turbodiesel world, there is a great club with 20,000+ members which puts out a quarterly mag running at 180+ pages long full of topics of interest for all generations of the Cummins equipped Dodge Diesel trucks. I hope that the NICO forum is as good as the TDR ( Turbo Diesel Registry ).

Personal information - I live in the Tulsa, OK area and love all things mechanical... never dealt too much in souping up cars till I hit 40! A late in life bloomer but heck, I am loving it! Anyone in the Tulsa or OKC area let me know what is going on.

Thanks to all ~

Welcome to Nico! You'll find anything you need to know in these forums. Be sure and get familiar with the search function; it works fairly well.

Well, to answer your questions...I too am a "Tim the toolman"

1. Intake-upgrade from the air filter back. I love my JWT popCharger! In combination with the Z-tube, its a perfect upgrade.2. Plenum upgrades. The spacer and other goodies are the next recommended upgrade. Check out motordyne engineering for a good explanation. http://www.motordyneengineering.com/G35.asp3. Exhaust. A nice cat back will enhance the car. I personally recomend stillen or Nismo.

Those will set you back a few grand...after that there's boost applications and internal mods...lots of coin!

Have fun! Be sure to post some pics up in the user rides section.

Hey Joe603,

Thanks for the response.. I will do my homework before I do any mods.... In my world ( being the Tim the Toolman type ) it is nice to have a good friend who is more or less the Al Borland to my Tim! HA. Anyway, I have access to a lift and a full set of tools not to mention my own set of tools I have invested in since I bought my Turbo Diesel truck.

Thanks again for the data and looking forward to growing into this family of G35 enthusiasts
