WAD and yea i did a lil but its fixable

See its not that i had a spare its more like i had my old one that i could use the inside of and the new one i needed the back part and LENSE......i cracked the bottom a lil but it didnt crack all the way tthrough so its all good.

The main thing with doing this is that you need to keep putting them in the oven dont have them out for more than 10 min max

more pics will come tonight when i finish this entire headlight

Dude, this looks sick.I'm choked because I'm in BC right now and won't be back home for another week. When I do get home, I'm booked with shoots until mid-September so I probably won't be able to work on my lights until then!!!

best bet is to buy an extra set and work on them SLOWLY dont rush it

like im on a time lock so it kinda sucks and im working and going to school so its really hard but 3 or 4 days all day should be good.

i have the one headlight done but im at work so its not "on" my car right now. It sucks bc i almost had it done and i look at my watch and im like "phuck i got work in 10 min lol". But when i get home tonight ill have it posted up with pics and all. Just gotta screw in the 3 screws and i think thats about it oh and wire the leds but i have the wires set up and all done so all i gotta do is connect the main wire to the power wire.....YEAH !!!!!!

and now i gotta do the other one................ n i thought i was done

ITS SO MUCH WORK

like i wouldnt mind it but its sooooo much time i should have waited to do it bc i am just so tired and bored of doing it. Like i just want it done now. Prob doesnt help that i have to do 3 considering i had to switch a couple parts on the first 2 lites.

but it will be sexy so im still happy....like i know itll be worth it in the end maybe ide do it for someone else idk it depens on the offer and what they want done

lol ur so excited its funny......but nah seriously its not easy dont do it if you dont have the time

AND BY TIME I MEAN 5 DAYS for a first timer lol..........i mean it could take less than this but idk bc i havent had a "full day" to work on them so idk. But you really want to take your time and make them nice i have a couple lil steps to add to that writeup and a couple changes ie temp of oven, how to paint, how to add leds, and so on

but pics will be up tonight once im done for real.......hope it works out well lol im so nervous

ok so now that i officially have one done idk if its worth all the trouble.......i mean its kool and a LONG project but imo if you dont have alot of time to spend its not worth it.....its alot of "sweat and tears" but in the end its just an amber strip and housing......i mean it looks sweet at night BUT its not perfect. DONT expect it to be if youve never done it before. I figured out when molding plastic its IMPOSSIBLE to mold it perfectly back into place.....so my light doesnt line up perfect with the hood anymore...more pics tomm but heres some s***ty night pics more to come friday at the meet though def better quality "thanks LBC ahead of time " bc i know hell have a sweet azz camera

imo the hole in the bottom of the headlight is for my strobes just havent put the bulb in yet....thats easy and the car wont be used until the meet fri

looks hott, but i got to ask...did u seal the seperate parts of the headlight together then seal the whole headlight? or did u just seal the casing that encloses the entire headlight?? i dont know how to word it any better...

im wondering because the silicon i got put into my headlights kept melting because of my HIDs reflecting off of the chrome area and heating up where we glued the seperate parts of the headlight together. (it happened like 2 weeks later i got them back from the shop). Anyways i got the silicon problem fixed, we used some kind of pro black caulk and it hasnt melted since, im just letting u know what might happen....

damns, that looks MAD NICE and SEXY AS HELLZ

First off where did you get those led strip or whatever they are? because i also wanted to do something like that where it follows the curve of the light, cuz that looks sick with what you got set up.

I've been working on my own headlights for awhile, but with work and school, i barely moved beyond cutting the shroud to fit, i still got to test the lights, add in the ccfl ring and then just putting everything back together.

But like you said it is time consuming and I'm a noobie myself so that why i'm taking my time.

But props to you man, nicely done, so hopefully you can tell me where you got those led strips from and how you put them on would be great.
