Amp mounting under the passenger seat

Is it safe to mount an amp under the passenger seat? Will I drill into anything under there?

Probably just the floor, but my suggestion is to take out the seat, pull back the carpet and hit the floor with a punch in the 4 spots you would mount the amp. Go underneath and see if any brake or fuel lines are in the way.

I looked and I don't see anything under there. I'm thinking I'm going to mount two points to the car and weld in a bracket so the amp "floats" slightly off the floor. Can someone elaborate more on this?
