I have noticed that the inside of my tires bald fairly quickly. And I definitely know it happens because my car has a sus. kit, and it is lowered 1.5 inches. So, I need to know if anyone knows about any good camber kits. The camber kit will help me out, so I dont have to go through tires so quickly. Can anyone make any suggestions?? Any help will be fine. Just give me some brand names, ratings, prices, web sites, etc. Thanks PEACE

get some rear upper control arms from phase 2 or projectsilvia.com They are a bit on the expensive side, but they are cheaper than buying tires every couple of days.

you shouldn't need a "camber kit" All you have to do is go down to an alignment place and ask them for eccentric bolts.

The rear though requires the adjustable arms or eccentric bushings.

Well, by the looks of my rear tires, they seem fine. And also, the guy from the tire place told me that the rear tires are fine. He just told me to look into a camber kit, and also get an allignment after. But I will also look into those eccentric bolts. It sounds cheaper. Thanks. PEACE

You must not be lowered very far if you dont have rear camber problems. For the front you can get eccentric bolts. For the rear you need the eccentric bushings or the adjustable arms.

We will be selling all of the above very soon.

1.5" isnt anything on the 240 suspension and will still be in spec on the alignment machine for camber with out adjustments...

What you are describing is bad "toe"... I did the same thing, dropped my car 1.5" and didnt get an alignment, and then proceeded to wear insides of the tires out on the front. I fixed the toe (way outta spec, and the rear didnt need a single adjustment) and its fine now, and actually wearing on the outsides (well due to 5 auto-x events so far on em plus spirited cornering and 15k or so)...

Check the alignment first as camber shouldnt be a problem. Toe will wear a tire out faster then a degree or two of camber.

Oh and one more thing make sure the upper spring mounts are facing the right way as this will also play an effect on how a tire wears on one side, as I have personally found out :)

Im getting camber plates / pillowballs when I go full coilovers, as with the 1.5 - 1.75" I have now its not needed...

If you want to spend some coin on something you probably dont need , HKS, cusco, tein probably jic all make nice camber / pillowball mounts.

SO, 96_S14_SE, what do you suggest I should do? I was thinking of getting an alignment, and also getting the pdmracing eccentric bolts. Once I get those 2 things, I will be fine right? I am getting some new tires, and I plan on doing a bit of auto-X, and I definitely dont want my tires to be gone in 5 months or less. So just tell me whats best for me and my car and I will do it. Thanks --PEACE

I did nothing more then making sure the upper spring mount was on right, which cleared some issues up thats not related to this as well, and had an alignment done. I had some rather quick wear of the inner portion of the fronts prior (like if i didnt x rotate them, the out sides looked new with the insides 75% gone) and relatively none afterwards... Ill get my sheet and post what my camber was as well.

I would get at least a front alignment done just to check the toe on your car. Then if needed I would add some sort of camber adjusting device, or if I wanted more camber. In my case, koni yellows, progress 1.5" (actually 1.5 and 1.75) progressive rate lowering springs, whiteline sways (29 - 22), ES poly tension rod and LCA bushings, replicated nismo power brace, tanabe F cusco R stb, and possibly others I forgot, I was good on the camber (within spec even) and the only problem / adjustment was with the front toe...

If you plan on auto-x'n I may shy away from a traditional pillowball / camber plate, as IIRC no metal bushings may be substituted for rubber ones in GS or STS, so you would be in SM unless you didnt tell anyone, which wouldnt be so honest...

Ill double check on my alignment specs and on the metal b ushing rule as well.

When you say "upper spring mounts " do you mean the upper support bearing or the upper spring perch?

96 is right. If you are getting uneven wear, it's not so much your camber that is wearing them out, it's the toe. Get an alignment and leave your mild camber and see what happens. They will wear almost perfectly normal, the wear difference between the little camber and normal will be minute.
