hey i was just thinking of something...

i was bored one day and deicided to go crusie down around down town with a friend. we rolled past pep boys and a guy i knew was there so we pulled up and said hey.

my friend wanted to look at some rims... and i rolled into the ricer aisle. saw the led windsheild washers, had extra cash and plenty of time so i bought a pair.... just to mess with.

now am i a ricer!!!???

Haha, well I have stickers on my ride, so join the club man!

Nah.

Without sounding like I want to start this debate all over again, I think a ricer is a person who overdecorates their car with stickers, a big wing and body kit ANNNNNDDDDD thinks he's got the fastest car on his block, running his stock motor and such.

I say you can do anythihg to your car wheter ricey or not ONLY IF ur car is fast as hell

In my opinion ur considered a ricer if u drive a slow *** car and have all those lights to make it look "fast"

Don't forget someone that blindly follows trends set by companies like APC . . . i.e. carbon fiber EVERYTHING, underchassis neon, colored rims (i.e. yellow), etc. SOME look good, but most just look stupid; I saw a black lexus IS300 drive by with ELECTRIC BLUE painted stock rims. I quietly lowered my window, and puked on the poor guy on a bike standing next to me at a stoplight.

I respect all show cars when their owner agrees, and says their car is for show only. If I had my way, I'd have a black 98 240 w/ a bomex body kit and my '93 coupe in stock form with a highly modified SR under the hood.

Whoops I forgot. Thanks for the follow-up. :)

After my 5 speed swap, I'm thinking about just going show...just for the reason that I don't need that much speed and I'm moving out soon also. :)

above all else, I think rice is a mentality. I used to own a DSM that was 93 hp stock, soup can welded on to stock exhaust, K&N ghetto rigged to stock air can and some kind of hose, and to touch it all up, a nice NOS sticker on the back hatch window. Albeit i inherited all this stuff from the previous owner, i COULD have taken it off, but I didn't. But at least I didn't think I was fast....I knew damn well that almost everything out there was faster than me, and I respected that. But it was such a nice looking car (excluding all the rice crap). I like to think my wreck was my salvation and my 240SX is my redemption :-P
