Yes it does. There were quite a few threads on it back when the recall first came out. Not all vehicles are affected though, so you may want to check with your dealer if your car is involved. If you haven't gotten a recall notice, chances are you're fine.

I have yet to take it in...but I need to.

You will notice the "Airbag Off" light coming on when it shouldn't...it doesn't do it that much when I am in the seat, it seems to do it more when my wife is...I think the weight dif would be to explain that. But yea, it affects them in that the weight of a passanger isn't registered by the sensor and the airbag is deactivated.

Yeah, I have that light come on whenever someone sits in the passenger seat that doesn't weight that much. I guess that means I'm in need of going in?

i still haven't received a recall notice for my car even though this happens every time someone light sits on the passenger side. do i have to wait for a recall notice or should i just call the dealership and see if they'll get to it?

I got a bright orange recall notice from my dealership about this recall. I still havent taken my car in yet. yeah when I sit on the pass side... its no problem... but if my girlfriend sits there in a "weird" way... the "airbag off" light turns on when it shouldnt

I'd give them a call with your VIN. Worst case scenario your car isn't part of the recall and you won't be bringing it in.

I actually took mien in before the recall cause i noticed this was happening. they just fixed it right there. its nothing major. mabey 10-15 min max.
